Margarita's story
Childhood
Margarita Hart was born in Pennsylvania to immigrant parents. Due to her father’s work, her family moved around a lot, and when she finally settled in United States as a teenager, she had to learn the English language and culture from scratch. Margarita has spent the majority of her adult life in the Indianapolis area.
Margarita met Jesus at the tender age of 3 and has been in love with Him ever since. She is quick to share that the Lord is her reason to live, without Him in the mix of life she would be lost. The Lord is her companion, confidant, advisor, authority and strength.
Marriage
During the process of discerning her calling, Margarita met Jerry Hart at a ballroom dance class. She saw him and knew instantly that this was the one the Lord had selected for her as a spouse. Six weeks later, Jerry asked her to marry him, and they have been happily married for 37 years with two adult boys, Andrew and Matt.
Calling
During their marriage, the Harts have been faithfully serving the Lord, and their love for the Lord and people is seen in everything they do. Through their company, Hart Solutions, a global solution business, specializing in Microsoft solutions, they were able to travel with medical mission groups to Central America. The Lord led them to serve the immigrant population here in Johnson County so they founded Esperanza Ministries in 2002, and the business was sold to begin the ministry. Margarita has been a Rabbi since 2000 and a Board Certified Chaplain in the community. Margarita lives with her husband on the South side of Indianapolis; they attend Foundation Life Bible Church in Greenwood Indiana. Both Jerry and Margarita work on the day to day tasks of running the ministry and serving the people God brings to our doors.
