O.B.R.A. Overcoming Barriers Reaching Achievements
Obra” means masterpiece in Spanish, and that is what we believe that our students are—masterpieces in the making. In order to help them realize their dreams, we have developed this supplemental education program to help students succeed in school. While we realize teachers and administrators are making every effort to differentiate materials and techniques, many of our students are still at risk of failure.
Therefore, we are stepping up our efforts to help our children reach their full potential through various angles:

  • Pre-kindergarten program: Children who are within one year of kindergarten will be eligible to attend this program. Our focuses will include basic pre-literacy.
  • Side-by-Side program: Students who are failing middle school or high school but want to continue to pursue a High School Diploma will receive after school assistance, summer school, and supplemental classes to help them succeed.
Our Current Offerings:
Provide literacy assistance resources
Develop parent centers and assist in school-parent relationships
Offer homework clubs and assistance
Provide English as a Second Language (ESL) programs
Homework Groups
Summer Schools
Help in school for students and teachers
