VISION STATEMENT
“Esperanza en Jesucristo Ministries exists to promote the physical, emotional, mental and spiritual well-being of Hispanic / Latinos by helping them integrate into the Southside Indianapolis and Greenwood culture. Our hope is that this integration will result in healthy families with each individual brought to a saving personal relationship with Jesus Christ.”
MISSION STATEMENT
“Esperanza en Jesucristo Ministries seeks to empower Hispanic / Latino individuals and families with the ongoing knowledge and support necessary to integrate successfully into their communities. Working alongside local municipalities, churches and trusted community partners, we provide a safe and caring place from which we serve the physical, educational and spiritual needs of our neighbors. Through the spirit of Jesus Christ, we offer help, healing and hope to Johnson County’s Hispanic community.
Strategy Statement:
Esperanza en Jesucristo Ministries achieves its mission by providing Johnson County’s Hispanic community with the direct services and integrated local resources necessary to thrive. Specifically, Esperanza’s strategy is to:
Provide Direct Support:
1. Cultivate a Village of Hispanic Leadership and Support:
Cultivate a village of Hispanic leaders and elders with whom Esperanza will work in order to wholistically support the needs of neighboring individuals and families.
These leaders and elders are mentored to become pillars of support for the community, thus expanding our ability to serve many.
2. Provide Direct Services Not Available in Johnson County:
Through our ministry center, provide critically needed direct services that are not currently available or readily accessible within the County.
The following services provide the community with a healthy infrastructure needed to help individuals (Hispanic and non-Hispanic) thrive in a new culture: educational support, social services, medical and dental care, legal support and spiritual outreach.
Strengthen the Community Support Network:
3. Build Relationships between Johnson County’s Hispanic and Non-Hispanic Communities:
In the spirit of Jesus Christ, facilitate the building of trusting, truthful relationships between Johnson County’s Hispanic and Non-Hispanic communities in order to strengthen their understanding of one another and to promote their interconnection with one another.
4. Establish an Integrated Network of Community Resources:
Work side-by-side with our key community partners to develop a network of local resources that effectively serves the physical, emotional and spiritual needs of Johnson County’s Hispanic community. We encourage mutual acceptance by educating partners and individuals about our cultural differences and similarities. |
